As you all know, the crysknife and sheath are done and up for ordering. Perfecting the process of creating it took the better part of the year. At times it was very challenging and frustrating, but for the most part it really is a lot of fun.
But the moulding, the chemical processes, the sanding and detail work–pretty much the things I enjoy doing–is over. Now comes the serious part, the “grownup stuff” after “toymaking”: the order process, shipping and just making sure everything gets to you, dear reader, in one piece. These crysknives, after all, do chip and shatter.
While I’m accomplishing those things though, I still indulge in the fun stuff. I’m outsourcing the photography of the crysknife sometime soon, but that doesn’t stop me from taking a jab at taking my own pictures with my point and shoot camera in the meantime. I’m no photographer, but I’m now starting to understand how they say figure collection, cosplay, photography, photo editing and graphic design (and other related pursuits) all come in one package. A figure collector for instance will get into photographing his collection, which later on goes into graphic design, etc.
In any case, I’m immensely enjoying the taking pictures.
The wait is over and I’ll be shipping very very soon. Please be patient as I’d like to ensure that the order process is smooth and hassle free. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the pictures!
